New Starters at Avalon Sciences!

 

Avalon Sciences would like to welcome its new staff members to our expanding team.

Andy Mayard BSc (Hons) - Software Designer

Andy has recently joined Avalon Sciences as Senior Software Engineer and is currently  involved in  enhancing  the existing Remote Source System(RSS2) PC application to work with Third-Party recording systems as well as GSP/ACQ.

Andy will also be assisting in the re-factoring of ACQ, to work on a multi-platform, multi-lingual environment.   Andy is a highly experienced C++ Software Engineer whose background is in large-scale defence programs,  he is looking-forward to bringing his experience to bear on a whole new domain.

Trevor Makin - Electronics Test Engineer

Trevor has joined Avalon bringing over 20 years of electronic test and repair experience from both telecommunications and military industries.  Trevor is now part of Avlaons electronic test and digitiser repair team.

Martin Houkes - Internal Process Software Engineer

Martin has changed postion within ASL from the role as Inspection engineer for over 2 years to Internal Process Software Engineer.  Martin has 28 years’ experience in engineering working within Quality Control, Aircraft and Telecommunications industries including 10 years design and developing VB database applications (i.e. dual role – Quality Control / Software developer). Martin is now responsible for database management and quality control, which complements Avalons new ISO 9001 standing and new Geophysical Instrumentation Rental Service.

Kevin Lloyd - Mechanical Inspection Engineer

Kevin has come from a diverse engineering background within production and mechanical inspection. Using the latest inspection technology and his own experience Kevin is now responsible for assuring the highest quality and conformance of mechanical products manufactured onsite for Avalon's downhole tools.
