Company Avalon Sciences is a successful hi-tech company which designs and manufactures borehole seismic systems for the global oil and gas industry. Working Environment Based in fully equipped modern facilities in Somerset. You will be working in small multi-disciplined design team developing ground breaking products. You will be lead mechanical designer on some projects. Characteristics The successful candidate will be a self motivated team player, able to find and develop design solutions outside of past experience, and work with the other members of the team to drive successful projects from concept, through manufacture and test, to customer deployment. Skills Creative, practical, CAD fluent. Stress Analysis knowledge would be an advantage. Qualifications Degree qualified mechanical engineer. Experience Lead mechanical design experience on engineered precision electro-mechanical equipment, high temperature and high pressure experience an advantage. Subsea oil and gas design experience would be highly advantageous. Remuneration Competitive depending on experience Relocation assistance may be provided. Other Permanent full time position. Must have good English speaking skills. No agencies.
