ASL operates out of two sites in Somerset, south-west UK; the electronics division just outside Wiveliscombe where research, development, test and assembly facilities are located; plus the manufacturing and production facility located at the headquarters site in Somerton.
In 2004 we opened our Technical Support & Service Centre (TSSC) in Beijing, China and we set up an Operations Support Centre (OSC) in Sugar Land, Texas, USA. Recently we have opened another support centre in Singapore. These strategically located centres offer fast access to stocks of spare parts and rental equipment. In the cases of Beijing and Singapore the centres are staffed by trained field engineers who can offer technical support and advice in English or Chinese.
Over the last 20 years ASL has built up an enviable reputation for continuous improvement, which has seen leading international service providers such as Baker Atlas, BGP, Halliburton, Pinnacle, Read, Schlumberger and Weatherford adopt a wide range of the company’s technologies to gain competitive advantage in field conditions. In addition we have supplied a number of indigenous companies with equipment, training and technical support such as Comesa in Mexico, Elnusa in Indonesia, Enageo in Algeria, Turkmengeologia in Turkmenistan and Vietsovpetro in Vietnam.
With an emphasis on modular components, quality and good customer service, ASL’s systems are designed with compatibility and expansion in mind. ASL is committed to playing its part in improving operational efficiency and adding value to the exploration service companies.
